Summer 2022
From the Mountain
From the Executive Director
"I know how to be brought low, and I know how to abound.
In any and every circumstance, I have learned the secret of facing plenty and hunger, abundance and need. I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength." Philippians 4: 12-13.
Many of our residents came from tough situations. Home life was nothing to brag about. Being moved around from place to place, abuse, neglect, hunger, are just a few struggles they have experienced before coming to Mountain Top. But to hear them now, they say "I've never experienced a family until now". Even telling judges "I don't want to leave Mountain Top."
The difference? We make them feel loved. When they mess up, we don't give up on them. The struggles and pains go deep, but love endures forever. The thought of never giving up, or I can do all things through Christ, never crossed their mind. But now, the truth of God's Word is transforming their lives, and giving hope to those who seek after Him.
